Shoal bud vase

Wheel thrown vase made with local white stoneware clay. Carved with a fish design and glazed with light blue celadon over a copper wash.
This design was inspired by a gorgeous late summer’s evening paddle at our local beach, Porthkidney. The waters were calm and in the gently breaking waves I spotted a shoal of fish enjoying the calm evening too. Every time I create a Shoal piece my mind takes me back to that peaceful moment, just me and the fish! 
Measuring approximately 8cm tall x 8cm at its widest. 3cm neck diameter.
Each piece is individually made, with subtle variation in colour and texture.
