Throw on my traditional Leach kick wheel with clay from the clifftop quarry a few miles up the coast at St Agnes. Whilst the pot was at the leatherhard stage (dry enough to work with and still maintain its overall shape) I applied an intricate pattern through carving and imprinting with a favourite shell. Oxides and underglazes were applied before allowing the pot to dry. This was then bisque fired and numerous celadon glazes were applied before its final stoneware firing. Measuring 18cm tall x 16cm at its widest.
